Shipping + Returns

DOMESTIC SHIPPING

We ship via USPS. Buyer assumes all responsibility for shipping costs + fees, package protection is available at checkout through Route.

HOLIDAY ORDERS - PLEASE PLACE ORDERS BY DEC 12th FOR BEST DELIVERY BY CHRISTMAS

Please be aware that Slow Made is not responsible for delayed transit times once your order leaves the studio. We have no control over transit times once packages are given to the mail carrier.

CARBON NEUTRAL SHIPPING

All orders we ship are carbon neutral. This means we offset negative environmental impacts our shipment activities may create. This is done by monitoring, tracking and balancing or removing any CO2 we may release into the atmosphere. This is at no additional costs to our customers as we have decided to cover this to help maintain sustainability through shipping. 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

We currently ship to Canada and the U.K.  

 

RETURNS

At Slow Made, all of our products are carefully inspected before they are shipped. Due to the nature of our products, used candles cannot be returned or refunded. However, we will replace or refund products damaged during shipment with Route Protection* (see LOST + DAMAGED below for more information)

Please note that we make our candles in small batches, hand poured, labeled, and packaged by hand. Due to its hand-crafted nature, there should only be slight differences between candles. I'm more than happy to work with you to find a solution that works for both of us, but please be conscious of the nature of our products.

If a return is accepted: All shipping and handling charges are the responsibility of the customer. Please keep the tracking information until your return has been processed. Any packages sent back to Slow Made, without direct contact from me stating to return the item(s), will not be accepted. We do not assume responsibility for packages containing returns that are lost in transit or packaged poorly, if damaged during transit refund will not be processed. We do not replace orders that are shipped with no tracking information.

 

LOST + DAMAGED

Your order is adequately packaged with handling + transit in mind! While we do take care when packaging your order, damages can happen. We offer package protection with Route* (at an additional cost available at checkout). 

If something went wrong with your Route protected order, you can report an issue by filing a claim here. Or download the Route App to easily resolve shipping issues on any protected order. 

*BY OPTING OUT OF ROUTE PACKAGE PROTECTION, SLOW MADE IS NOT LIABLE FOR LOST, DAMAGED, OR STOLEN PACKAGES. For packages not protected by Route, you can try to file a claim directly through USPS
